Camp Quality is a charity for the families of children with cancer. Its purpose is to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia.
A highly successful Christmas Appeal in 2011 generated more than 7,000 donations. However, Camp Quality didn’t have the internal resources to manage the influx of donations and had to rely on temporary staff, volunteers and existing Camp Quality staff to open, record, process and receipt all the Christmas donations. This placed enormous strain on their Sydney-based staff and created unexpected expenses.
Camp Quality was looking for a way to manage the processing of donations from the appeal and approached DCA for a solution.
In 2012 Camp Quality rolled out a new fundraising strategy to meet its funding requirements for new and extended programs to be developed over the following five years. A core part of this strategy included direct-marketing appeal acquisition campaigns.
The team at DCA responded professionally, proactively and thoroughly from the outset, helping Camp Quality map out its requirements. DCA then developed a solution that addressed the charity’s specific needs for tax appeal processing.
DCA managed everything from the initial data set-up through to the batching, opening and sorting of mail, data entry, banking, receipting and reconciliation. Regular file exports were sent to Camp Quality for uploading into its donor database and regular reporting.
DCA provided a comprehensive outsourcing solution for the data processing of Camp Quality’s Post Christmas donation appeals .This helped Camp Quality manage the work overflow in a cost effective manner without compromising on the quality of service provided to their customers.
